Send-to.mobi supports content ingestion via our APIs or a simple web-based user interface. The Send-To.Mobi platform enables multimedia delivery in just a few clicks, and includes support for most standard video/audio codecs, such as MPEG-4, H.263, H.264, FLV, AMR, and MP3 and supports most network protocol standards, such as RTSP, RTP RTCP,RTMP, MMS and MPEG-TS.

The Send-To.Mobi streaming engine uses a technology that detects network conditions and throttles the bit-rate of the stream on-the-fly. The video stream adjusts packet sizes depending on bandwidth availability. Instead of switching from stream to stream based on bandwidth availability, the system adjusts the bit-rate of the original stream on the fly, maximizing the available bandwidth much more accurately. Extensive testing has been performed of the Send-To.mobi technology to ensure its ability to scale to high volume. Content owners and carriers need to support a broad set of device profiles, and well as a high volume of users requesting popular videos. One such test conducted, mapped a single server to a single RTSP live stream input, in H263 format, and were able to stream it out to 2000 separate virtual devices. Other solutions in the industry can handle less than a dozen simultaneous streams, meaning content owners and carriers would have to stack several servers to accomodate the level of scale that their environments demand.
